MASTER KEY SYSTEMS GOLD COAST

Planned Access for Every Door

Goldy Locksmiths designs and installs master key systems for homes, businesses, strata properties and managed sites across the Gold Coast. A planned key hierarchy gives authorised users access to multiple doors while other keys work only where required.

Different Access Levels

Assign suitable access for owners, managers, staff, tenants, cleaners and contractors. In addition, one system can cover entries, offices, storerooms, gates and shared areas.

Restricted Key Options

Restricted key systems can help limit unauthorised copying and improve oversight of who receives keys. Where suitable, existing locks can also be rekeyed for the agreed structure.

Keyed Alike and Restricted Padlock Systems

We can supply bulk keyed alike, master keyed and restricted-key padlocks. These commercial padlock systems suit construction sites, civil and roadwork projects, warehouses and mine sites.

Master Key & Restricted Key FAQs

Answers about access levels, restricted keys, existing locks and system changes.

How does a master key system work?

A master key system gives selected keys access to multiple locks while other keys open only assigned doors. For example, a manager may access the whole property while staff or contractors can open only the areas they use.

A restricted key system uses controlled key blanks and authorised duplication to reduce unauthorised copying. Where suitable, it can be combined with a master key hierarchy for tighter control over both keys and door access.

Many compatible locks can be rekeyed into a master key system without replacing the complete lock. We inspect the cylinders, keyways and hardware first because older or incompatible locks may need upgrading.

Locks within the system can be rekeyed so missing or unreturned keys no longer work. The access plan can then be updated for new staff, managers, contractors or other authorised users.
